Saturday is for writing

We had all bases covered today! For children, there were two exciting workshops on offer: Poetry with Jacqueline Shirtliff at Kensington Arts, and Writing Mysteries! with Sam Sedgman at HBN library. For the grown-ups, there was Writers’ Day, which ran from 9 till 4 in the wonderfully gothic surrounds of St. Ninian’s Church.

It’s no big surprise that Writers’ Day was a sell-out: it was jam-packed with informative and entertaining panel discussions, Q&A sessions and workshops, on a whole variety of topics including crime-writing, poetry, children’s books, local folklore and comedy.

Huge thanks is due to our visiting authors, and to Literary Agent, Lydia Silver, who ran one-to-one feedback sessions throughout the day.
