When Chris was ten, he was described by an educational psychologist as having a ‘slightly odd personality.’ It wasn’t until he was diagnosed with Aspergers Syndrome at the age of 25 that he felt able to turn his own attitude around and start to define himself by his strengths, rather than his weaknesses.

Chris is now an autistic advocate, author and speaker, whose aim is to go beyond raising awareness and acceptance of autistic people, to inspiring real appreciation of their inherent value.

Chris is an award-winning author of fiction and non-fiction for adults and children, notably the neurodivergent dystopia series, Underdogs. He is also the creator of the highly-acclaimed website, Autistic Not Weird.
