We are especially excited to welcome Luke Thompson to this year’s Manx Litfest, as his latest book (out in September from Ortac Press) features, among many other wild and wonderful creatures, our very own Gef the Mongoose.

The book is entitled Domadomadoma-Blumblumblum: Conversations with Other Animals, and it explores the ways in which humans have imagined, or attempted, conversation with other species.

Luke lives in Cornwall where he writes poetry and non-fiction. He is a senior lecturer at Falmouth university, leading the MA in Professional Writing. He is also the co-founder of Guillemot Press, an independent publisher of pamphlets and beautiful books.
