What an incredible week we’ve had at Manx Litfest 2023!
We are all really grateful to everybody who came along, bought tickets and supported us and our visitors. We had 6 sold out events this year, which is absolutely incredible!
You also gave us over £130 in donations this year, which will all go towards future festivals.
If you attended an event and would like to drop us a message with words of support to help us ensure future funding, that would be really appreciated by all of us.
Thank you to our supporters and sponsors: Culture Vannin who provide us with the funding we need to keep going every year, Isle of Man Steam Packet Company who help us get some of our visitors to and from the island, Ellen at Cut the Cake for donating such an amazing cake that it kept us all going for days, Bridge Bookshop Isle of Man who sponsored the poetry event and also ran bookstalls at most of our events, But First. Promotions who sponsored the quiz, Marsh for sponsorship of the festival in general and the Family Library who continue to support us and host the family event on the Saturday of the festival. Special thanks to Julia Ashby Smyth for coming out on such a stormy evening and running an art stall at the gin event.
Thank you to all the venues we used this year, who helped advertise the events, and who looked after all of us and our visitors so well. Noa for hosting four events this year, The Fynoderee Distillery, Peel Centenary Centre, St Ninian's Church, The Windsor Coffee Co, Jurby and Northern Community Initiatives and Regency Hotel & L'experience for giving our visitors somewhere to sleep. Thank you also to Artisan Platters who fed us so well at writers’ day.
Huge thanks to the amazing team of volunteers who drove visitors around, set up venues, tidied up afterwards and helped on the door at events - we couldn’t do the festival without you!
And lastly, enormous thanks to all our visitors this year, who have kept us entertained and inspired for another year!
See you for Manx Litfest 2024!
